Mr. Charles William Hewatt, Sr., 73 of Marietta, passed away March 2, 2013. A Marietta resident of over 40 years, Charles was the former President of the Checker Cab Company. He was also a former member of West Merritts Baptist Church in Atlanta. Charles was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. He loved to play golf and enjoyed his time with his family. Charles is survived by his loving wife, Danna Hewatt, sons, Charles Hewatt, Jr., Brian Hewatt and Matthew Hewatt, grandchildren, Dustin, Robyn, Candace, Charles W., III and Ashton Hewatt, great-granddaughter, Hayden Burns, brother, Richard Hewatt, Jr. and sister, Joyce Ledford. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013 at noon in the chapel of H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
