DEAR EDITOR:

Those who bemoan the current slate of peccadilloes, i.e., Benghazi, IRS, et al, seem to believe such failings on the part of the administration are unprecedented. Unfortunately, we have in recent memory those of Watergate, Iran-Contra and the Pentagon papers, reminding us of earlier foibles.

And going even further back, we must not lose sight of those pungent acronyms we enjoyed during WWII: SNAFU (Situation Normal, All F(oul)ed Up), TARFU (Things Are Really Fouled Up), and the grand superlative: JANFU (Joint Army-Navy Foul-up). Perhaps some wag will suggest some appropriate slogans for the current slate of constitutional infringements!
