On Oct. 10 I was home alone when I had an aneurysm in my aorta rupture. Thank God I was able to get to a phone and call 911. I was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery. I am glad to say I am here to write this letter. Nine out of 10 people who have this happen at home die. Only half survive the operation. Also, thank God it happened this year and not next. Why do I say this about the timing?
If it had taken place under Obamacare or the “Affordable” Health Care Law, I would not be enjoying this beautiful morning. While recuperating I asked doctors, nurses and other care givers, “If Obama is re-elected and Obamacare is fully enacted, would I have gotten the needed care in time to save my life?” I polled about a dozen professionals. The unanimous answer was, “No you would be dead.”
Why do I make this claim? Simply this. Other “progressive” nations that have socialized medicine cannot meet the needs of patients. Under Obamacare, ERs across the U.S. will be used as primary-care facilities. Read “doctor offices.” This trend has been underway for the past decade. It will only get worse. It was the CAT-scan machine that saved my life. These medical devices are very expensive and are few and far between in socialized medicine counties. Patients can wait days to get a scan. I did not have days. I had a few precious hours.
Here’s a footnote on medical devices. Obamacare puts surtax on everything from a stethoscope to a CAT scan machine. My daughter, while attending a tax symposium, spoke with a tax accountant for the Phillips Company who made the CAT-scan machine that helped save my life about the surcharge part of Obamacare. He said the tax will cost Phillips hundreds of millions of dollars, and that it will be passed on the caregivers and patients.
I am on Medicare. Obamacare has stripped $716 billion out of Medicare.
Finally, I was re-admitted after five days due to possible heart problems. Under Obamacare, the hospital and the admitting doctor would be fined because they are not by law to re-admit patients within 30 days. To quote former speaker Pelosi, “We have to pass the bill in order to know what’s in it.” Who knows what else is in it?

He implies that if everyone has insurance that means his life will be in danger when all those sick people use the ER. He says he would have died because of Obamacare. I'd say that my opening statement is on the money.
The fact that you evidently think socialized medicine is the greatest thing since bottled beer don;t make it so.
And, of course, the health care professionals he talked to do not know as much as you do.

As a Republican, you probably aren't even telling the truth about having an aneurysm. It was probably just gas or something, or you just sat at home watching reruns of House and came up with an idea for a story.
Now, to completely disagree. You would have had all the car as you experienced. Nothing really would have changed. If you are a republican or dem and do not like Obamacare that's your opinion and right. The fact stands that over half tgecountry does and as we all know majority wins. I am only saying this to make a point. It is pointless to try and fight the health care act at this point. With Obama winning again the last chance of stripping or even stopping it went out the window. I for one believe it will be a good thing overall for this country. By the way, I am a doctor and see many good benefits to the plan. I will also say with 100% confidence that if your case is brought to our hospital you would not have died because of obamacare.
