KENNESAW — Kennesaw State University’s Executive Education Programs is offering LaunchPad2X to female business owners and CEOs interested in growing their business. The program will feature facilitators from Fortune 1000 companies, private company executives, academia, the U.S. military, and professional service firms. LaunchPad2X is designed exclusively for women-led businesses and will take place on Sept. 18, Oct. 2 and Oct. 25.
Program applications are being accepted through Aug. 31.
Wayne Rose elected as regional director
MARIETTA — Marietta-based general manager Wayne Rose of Massey Services pest prevention company has been elected to serve as the Region 4 director for the Georgia Pest Control Association.
Rose will serve as a liaison between the association and the independent pest control companies in his region. He has been with the company since 1999.
Law firm to host fundraiser
CUMBERLAND — On Aug. 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Warner, Bates, McGough & McGinnis family law firm will sponsor a fundraiser in support of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation’s Guardian ad Litem Program at its offices at 3350 Riverwood Parkway in the Cumberland area. Donations received at the event may be applied toward the purchase of a host level ticket for the AVLF’s 21st annual wine tasting event, which will be this fall at the SunTrust Plaza garden atrium.
* Lennar homebuilders has announced that from Thursday through Aug. 19, for every home sold in one of its Atlanta-area communities, the company will donate $1,000 to that community’s elementary schools. In Cobb, Lennar has neighborhoods in Smyrna and east Cobb.
* Dance Stop Studios will have an open house on from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. The studio will offer attendees a gift basket raffle, free mini Zumba class, and a performance by members of Dance Stop Company. Dance Stop is at 4400 Roswell Road, Suite 128, in Marietta, 30062.
