During the weekend of Oct. 5 through 7, any product that features the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Energy-approved “Energy Star” logo and is valued at or less than $1,500 will be exempt from state and local sales taxes.

These products include dishwashers, washing machines, air conditioners, ceiling fans, fluorescent light bulbs, dehumidifiers, programmable thermostats, refrigerators, doors, windows and skylights. The sales tax holiday was reinstated as a provision of House Bill 386, which was signed by Gov. Nathan Deal earlier this year.
