Mary Frances (Frankie) Edmondson passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 9, 2013 after a courageous battle against lung cancer. Frankie was born in Atlanta to Elmer E. and Mamie M. Ealum and raised in East Point Georgia.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Evan B. Edmondson. She attended the old Russell High School and graduated with honors.  After high school, she attended Wesleyan College and graduated in 1951 with honors. Her initial employment was with the telephone company but she was soon married and started raising a family. Later on, she became a real estate agent at first selling houses, then later selling businesses. Her first priority though, was raising her children and making sure that they enjoyed every advantage possible.  She was devoted to making sure that her family came first in everything she did. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harry N. Edmondson, her son, Eric N. Edmondson and wife Nancy W. Edmondson and her daughter, Amy E. Miller and husband Sam A. Miller.  Frankie was a loving wife, a devoted mother and a loyal friend.  She was loved by everyone who knew her.  We will miss her very, very much. Contributions may be made in memory of Frankie to a charity of your choice. Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta will be in charge of arrangements which will be at a later date. 770-428-1511
