This annual event doubled as an open house event for Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, which offers educational and social opportunities for adults age 50 and older with a purpose to promote lifelong learning and continued intellectual and personal growth for retirement-age individuals. Curriculum draws from the interests, talents and experiences of older adult learners.
Art from OLLI students and instructors was on display. The Big Shanty Elementary Chorus returned to sing for the audience. Durham Fiddlers from Durham Middle School in Acworth made their first appearance at this year’s event. Also new were the Kennesaw Square Dealers, who got audience members to kick up their heels in a square-dancing demonstration.

KSU Center is at 3333 Busbee Drive in Kennesaw. Located conveniently between Interstate 575 and Interstate 75, the center is the site for the College’s in classroom coursework and is the site of many educational conferences and where companies choose to conduct advance training for their employees. Santa Claus has come to town and dropped off Marietta goodies to fill your stocking at the Marietta Visitors Bureau. New this year is the Marietta porcelain Christmas ornament, which features the fountain in Glover Park. This joins other gift items such as the Historic Marietta China (in blue, red and black), the Marietta Pilgrimage platters and the Big Chicken Birdhouse.
