Mercer and Jacksonville have about 100 athletes on their football team, so KSU would need to add quite a few athletes.
A great option would be women's equestrian. KSU already has an equestrian club in place. UGA has an equestrian team with about 100 athletes. It makes sense!
If they are going to justify spending millions on football, there is no reason they couldn't support an equestrian team.
Focus on the classroom. That's what college is all about.
There's also the fact that unless you're a Duke or Kentucky, baseketball teams don't beget nearly as many alumni donations as football teams, which is why Georgia State, Charlotte and Old Dominion all started football.
