DEAR EDITOR:

Guest columnist Robert Meredith (Friday’s MDJ) was “dead on” regarding the need to bury public power lines. Utilities are granted privileges by governments to sell power and given certain protections from competitors. These governments should enforce “delivery” requirements and assess fines for every hour that any customer is without service. Then the lines would be buried very shortly and no rate-payer would have to be without power again.
