Joe Nathan Ford, 28, of College Park was arrested and faces burglary charges and charges under the Racketeering Influence and Corrupt Organizations Act.

He is accused of burglarizing beauty supply stores to steal hair extension products. Police say the thefts were organized by a criminal enterprise.

Two of the six burglaries he is charged with took place in Marietta.

The thefts caused extensive damage to the targeted business because vehicles were allegedly stolen and driven through store fronts to gain access.

Marietta police spokesman. Officer David Baldwin couldn’t say how many theft charges he faces in other jurisdictions right now, but said there are at least 16 similar burglaries that could be linked across metro Atlanta.

Ford was arrested by Marietta police in College Park, southwest of Atlanta, in conjunction with the College Park Police Department.
