MARIETTA — Cobb Fire hazardous-material crews fear some residents of a Roswell Road apartment complex may have been exposed to dangerous chemicals that another resident used to commit suicide.

The chemical call from the Jefferson lakeside apartments, near the Loop, came in just after 1 p.m. Thursday. As of 3:45 p.m., crews had evacuated most of the apartment building but were still trying to determine what the chemicals were, Fire Lt. Dan Dupree said.
