On Oct. 5 the United Methodist Council of Bishops, the Presbyterian Church, USA, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, National Council of Churches, American Baptist Churches, United Church of Christ, and others authored a letter to Congress asking for an investigation into U.S. military aid to Israel, noting, “We have witnessed widespread Israeli human rights violations committed against Palestinians, including killing of civilians, home demolitions and forced displacement and restrictions on Palestinian movement.”
What in God’s name are these people thinking? Have they all entered “Peanut Head” Jimmy Carter’s universe? Have we all lost our minds? Prior to our membership in a local Methodist church, I had been a lifelong Presbyterian. I am embarrassed, ashamed and frankly outraged at the tone and implications of this letter from such a diverse group of Christian leadership.
They also noted that “unconditional U.S. military assistance to Israel has contributed to this deterioration and undermines long-term security interests.”
Have Muslim fanatics gained control of the hierarchy of Christian leadership? Hamas and Hezbollah must be cheering at this development and their surprising new ally.
I would urge those in church leadership positions come to their senses. Otherwise, this country is further along to Armageddon than previously thought and may, in fact, already be lost.

No other country, including the USA will be able to demand of Israel what the Palestinians want, because the Palestinians only want to destroy Israel, and you can bet if they would ever be able to do so, that all the other countries including the US would be under attack.
But there are many out there with blindfolds on who will not look beyond what they wish to see.
Good Luck, and hope and pray that Iran or other countries do not start a nuculear war, because the US would be next in line for their assult.
