The Canton Police Department is asking for help in identifying a car that was involved in a hit-and-run July 12 at the River Ridge Apartment complex.

The police department’s traffic enforcement unit is looking for a newer model maroon Chevrolet Impala, which was being driven by an older black woman, Pacer Cordry, spokesman for the Canton Police said.

Police said the vehicle fled the scene after being involved in a collision in which the driver struck a pedestrian in the parking lot area of the River Ridge Apartment complex at about 7:11 p.m.

The traffic unit requests that anyone with information please contact Traffic Officer Dwight Tipton at the Canton Police Department at (770) 720-4883.
