CDC director to address Cobb Chamber

Dr. Thomas Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, will discuss the role of health care in the business community and present the 2014 Health Hero Award at 7:30 a.m. Monday during the Cobb Chamber’s First Monday Breakfast at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, 2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway SE in the Cumberland area.

The breakfast provides a platform to gain insight into the health care industry and the work of the CDC. The 2014 Health Hero Award recognizes an individual or organization who, through dedication and commitment, has made a positive impact on the health of the community.
