The Arena Tavern in Kennesaw is showcasing a positive new direction. Under new management and ownership, the upscale sports theme eatery touts the motto “simply delicious.”

“We’ve got a new attitude. We’ve got a new specialized menu created by a prominent chef. We’ve got a new focus,” said Mitch Doane, general manager of Arena Tavern. Michael Miller owns the restaurant.

Menu choices include classic favorites such as burgers and other sandwiches, soups, salads and wings to a variety of entrée choices such as steaks, seafood and pasta. “It’s not bar food. It’s higher end. The menu is upscale,” the east Cobb resident said.

Arena Tavern offers a full bar with specialty drinks and large assortment of beers from local and national companies including craft beers.

“(Craft beers) are off the beaten path, higher potency beers that are specially brewed,” Doane said.

Patrons can watch television on 46-inch flat screens throughout the restaurant.

“The audio visual package is very modern,” he said.

It’s not just about the sports at Arena Tavern. The restaurant features a patio area with a fireplace, live music and a private dining room that seats 100 people.

“It’s very classy, clean,” Doane said.

With a new concentration, Arena Tavern seeks to be Atlanta’s premier sports restaurant.

“We are very friendly and hospitable,” Doane said.

Located near Kennesaw State University off Interstate 75 and Interstate 575, Arena Tavern sets the stage for a new performance where guests can relax and enjoy the service, food and drink.

The tavern is at 2475 George Busbee Parkway Northwest, Kennesaw.
