Emergency crews responded to a serious crash on Interstate 75 in Cobb County on Monday afternoon. (Fox 5 Atlanta)

According to Cobb Police, 24-year-old Fatma Shalaby was driving south on I-75 in a 2010 Nissan Sentra just before 2 p.m. when she lost control of her car at the Terrell Mill Road overpass. Shalaby’s Nissan spun toward the shoulder and was hit by a 2003 Dodge pickup truck pulling a trailer. The truck jackknifed and hit a guard rail, and Shalaby’s car hit the inner median wall.
Shalaby was pronounced dead at the scene. No one in the pickup truck was injured.
No charges are expected to be filed related to the crash, but anyone with information about it is asked to call (770) 499-3987.
