Woodstock Police investigators received a tip that led to the arrest of 20-year-old Nathan Alexander Dotson, police spokeswoman Brittany Duncan said.
Duncan said the Acworth man confessed to the crime, although he did not reveal much else.
“As far as any other details or motive, we don’t know,” she said. “He just admitted to being the one that did it.”
The arrest came after the department received a number of tips from the public following media coverage of the robbery, she said.
“Early (Tuesday) evening ... Woodstock Police investigators followed up on tips received and were able to locate Dotson at the Greyhound bus station in Atlanta as he was planning to depart the area,” Duncan said in a news release.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident and was charged with robbery, she said.
Dotson is being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center on $16,700 bond.
