The weather was cold and windy, but guests were all smiles as the Rev. Catherine Cavazos married Brad Renken on Jan. 12 at Woodhaven Presbyterian Church in Irving, Texas. Among the guests were 18 members of the bride’s congregation at Kirkwood Presbyterian Church in west Cobb including Nancy and Gregg Campbell, Gail and Neil Franklin, Kim Hollomon, Charles Jarman, Ashley Jarman and Chris Bedell, Margaret and Willie Johnson, Tamiko Kemp, Betty and Ken Laube, Susan Miles, Ann Smith, Serena Wailes, and Susan and Edie Witt.

After their honeymoon in Jamaica, the Renkens will reside in Acworth. KPC is located at 618 Acworth Due West Road in Kennesaw.

The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art (30 Atlanta St SE in Marietta) was busy as ever on Jan. 18. It was Martini’s and Music, after all. The artwork by Jim Yarbrough featured through March 24, “Yarbrough: 53.9 Years & Still Unpredictable,” was rich, varied and piqued the interest of guests — a great conversation starter. The entertainer — a real crowd pleaser — Douglas Cameron crooned like Harry Connick Jr. And of course, the crowd was as lively as ever.

Among those around the museum: Vicki and Greg Aghajanian, Tyler Browning, Ray Buday, Katie Bush, Steve Byrne, Lamar Cheatham, Liz Cole, Pam and Nick Cole, Terri and Steve Cole, Dot and Bill Dunaway, Minton Edwards, Joanne and Matt Flournoy, Jennifer and Tim Fox, Jackie and Bill Garvin, Judge Adele Grubbs, Joe Kirby, Diane and JR Krause, Adrienne Larson, Emily and Harry Lembeck, Laura and Bob Lewis, Julianne and Byron Long, Don Massarro, Mazi Mazloom, Frank Moore, Sally and Hugh Macaulay, Julianne and Boozer McClure, Dawn McEachern, Tony Platt, Debbie Ponder, Vic Reynolds, Jill Sinclair, Johnny Sinclair, Alice Summerour, Melinda and Bobby Tharpe, Jim Warren, Dan Weis, and Leigh Ann and Ray Worden.

Centerstage North presents comedic masterpiece Bedside Manners by Derek Benfield. When Ferris reluctantly agreed to look after his sister’s seedy hotel in the English countryside while she was on vacation, he did not foresee the wild comings and goings that were to burst upon him in a single sunny spring evening. This marital comedy will have you laughing non-stop, as two young couples try to enjoy a weekend of romance — until the tables take an unexpected turn. As the secrets uncover, Ferris soon becomes engulfed in a dizzy round of lies, confusions and bewilderments as he tries to gain financially. You will exhaust yourself with laughter.

The show is Feb. 8 to 10, 14 to 17, and 21 to 23 at The Art Place Mountain View, 3330 Sandy Plains Road in Marietta. For season subscription or general ticket information, email boxoffice@centerstage
