Dr. Betty Siegel, Retired president

Kennesaw State University

Otis was an educator, in the best sense of the word.

His classroom was the larger community, and his medium, the newspaper. He sought through this medium to build a better community, a caring community by a courageous pursuit of truth and transparency.

He used his time and talents in service of the common good.

A compelling and genial speaker, he regaled us with his wit and wisdom.

An extraordinary steward of place, he was an exemplar of integrity, fairness, grace, civility.

He was a man for all seasons. He will be sorely missed.
