Engagement announcements appear in the Sunday edition of the Marietta Daily Journal. Deadline: Wednesday, 3:00 p.m.

Engagements published through Sunday, September 14, will be published at no cost. Beginning Monday, September 15, new engagement packages will be offered, including options to publish your notice in Cobb Life Magazine. Charges will apply. A courtesy "general announcement" will continue to be offered at no charge.

Photographs may be submitted for publication. Digital images are preferred and should be emailed to forms@mdjonline.com. Photographs can be submitted and scanned but quality will be affected. Photos, along with the form, should be brought or mailed to the Marietta Daily Journal at 580 Fairground Street SE., Marietta, GA 30060, Attn: Engagements. *Photos will not be returned unless a self-addressed, stamped envelope is provided.

All announcements must be signed and must include a daytime telephone number for verification purposes. The bride-elect, future groom or their parents must be current or past residents of Cobb County.

Please make sure that all the names, location and cities are spelled correctly. It is the responsibility of the submitter to proof read the announcement before submitting. There is no way to view the announcement online after submitting. If there are any changes to the announcement or you think you have submitted in error please resubmit the announcement before Wednesday 3 p.m.

 
We  reserve the right to edit announcements, to determine size and location of both picture and copy and to refuse photos of unacceptable quality and/or size. Acceptable sizes are wallet size and up to 8X10s. No profiles, Polaroid or long-distance shots will be accepted. Photos may be picked up at   the newspaper's front desk after publication or will be mailed if a self-addressed stamped envelope is provided. The return of photographs is not guaranteed. If parents are divorced or deceased, please indicate this clearly.
