ATLANTA - Carol Hunstein's long journey to the pinnacle of Georgia's legal system took more twists and turns than a captivating trial.
She overcame cancer and polio as a child, and later another bout with cancer led to the amputation of her leg. She graduated college and law school as a young single mother, balancing her class work with her children.

MARIETTA - Ever since beating former world No. 1 Jelena Jankovic at Wimbledon on Saturday, east Cobb tennis pro Melanie Oudin's media exposure has rocketed faster than a powerful serve off her racket.
"It was a bit overwhelming the day I beat her because I was getting congratulations from everyone and people were coming to me wanting to hear what I had to say and wanting to know more about me," the 17-year-old said Wednesday. "This is what comes with doing well, so I have to get used to it. It has been pretty crazy."
